Very unfriendly if you are visiting with children. Was hoping to purchase some books for my boys and was immediately told I couldn't enter with a stroller. When going to leave the woman proceeded to comment that she couldn't believe I was trying to bring my triplets into the store. It's a bookstore- shouldn't children also be able to purchase books to share in the love of reading?
A true gem in the Hudson Valley. As a book lover, I have traveled to several privately-owned bookstores in NY. The collection at Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe rivals the best. I especially love their rare book section, which consists of renowned classics like John Stuart Mill's On Liberty and Ernest Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms. Dispersed throughout the store are little note cards that contain the owner's recommendations; one of which actually convinced me to make a purchase! Overall, great collection, beautiful atmosphere, and kind owners.
My favorite bookshop. It will remind you of an old English book shop with the wooden shelves and narrow aisles. They also sell book marks, journals, and board games.
